Thunderbird 4: Progress?
So, first thing to do is stick it all together: Next would be the application of some disolved putty and some stern rubbing down of the joins as the kit isn’t the best fit (not too bad though). From there … Continue reading
Alan Wake
Something I don’t do often enough nowadays is complete games. Got this for my birthday a few weeks ago and finally got round to completing it. Pretty decent game, and the story, although a bit hoary and clichéd, was still … Continue reading
Thunderbird 4
Well, my next model is a 1992 Thunderbird 4 kit from Bandai. It looks pretty simple, so I’ll see how it goes.
Space Clipper: Finished
Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever manage to make a model I am actually happy with. This one certainly isn’t it. It is finished though. The photos do make it look okay-ish, but it’s pretty poor when you see … Continue reading
Space Clipper: Exhaust
That’s the exhaust section painted black (after some heavy masking), although it does look like a gloss finish, it was supposed to be flat black. As it turns out, the Pan Am decals were better quality than the Moebius supplied … Continue reading
AAT
It took one day to build my Armoured Assault Tank from The Clone Wars.
Space Clipper: Decals
This is my first Moebius kit, and I had heard that Japanese decals were a bit different, but by god I’ve had a nightmare with these so far. If I didn’t get it positioned 100% first time, it just didn’t … Continue reading
Space Clipper: Spot the difference
After much putty application and rubbing down, the model was ready for its base coat of Alclad White Primer and Microfiller. I then still had to rub down the seams as they looked rubbish. It’s got to the stage that … Continue reading
Child of Eden
Not that I can afford it really, but I couldn’t resist picking up Child of Eden at the local supermarket. Big fan of Rez, so my hopes are suitably high. I suppose I better see if I can borrow my … Continue reading

The Complete Bad Company
It’s hard to believe that it’s been so long since I read Bad Company (like 1986, man). The original Bad Company and Bad Company II: The Bewilderness and The Krool Heart were as good as I remembered, and you can … Continue reading
Space Clipper: Build
So I have followed the fairly straight forward building instructions: Fuselage, Wing assembly and Exhaust all fitted together: I now wish I hadn’t followed the instructions so slavishly as I have glued the windshield part into place and I still … Continue reading
Space Clipper
My Space Clipper as featured in 2001 arrived today. It’s my first Moebius kit (based on an old Aurora one I believe), and the quality seems okay. Very little cleanup required on the parts and the moulding seems pretty crisp. … Continue reading
Eagle Lift: Adjustment
I decided that the hydraulic tube things on my lift were too high and it didn’t “display” well. Decided to chop down a little and I think it’s the better for it.
My new model
Here’s my new model kit I am going to build today: It’s a Revell Easy Kit of the AAT from The Clone Wars.
Planetary / Batman Deluxe Edition
“Planetary, the archaeologists of the unknown, cross paths with Batman on the trail of a killer in this new, Deluxe Edition hardcover. When Planetary – Jakita Wagner, Elijah Snow and the Drummer – travel to Gotham City, they mean business. … Continue reading

Son of Superman
“Reprinting a classic Superman tale featuring the art of J.H. Williams III! Fifteen years after the disappearance of Superman, a teenage Jon Kent awakens one day to learn that not only is he the son of the Man of Steel, … Continue reading

Scopedog: Woes
I’ve sort of gone back to my Scopedog kit while I am awaiting my new one (the 2001 Space Clipper). I learned the hard way that the Alclad finishes need some gentle handling. As you can see from the image … Continue reading
Gallery
Seeing as I’ve lost all my old model building posts, I thought I would try a gallery here: Obviously I’m not happy with any of my models so far, but I’m not going to get any better without experience.

Thunderbird 2: I give up
Ah well, I guess when you buy an old, old kit, you get what you pay for. The decals are shite and don’t work. I’m also not happy with the shade of green: it should be a more apple green.
Nerf Maverick: Painted
So, I have now finished the painting and lacquering of my Nerf Maverick. It’s okay, but I’m still pondering how to weather it.
What’s happened?
I recently tried to upgrade the vBulletin installation here at we-play-games.com and it went a bit wrong. vBulletin are blaming the hosting company and they in turn are basically blaming the software. After going between the two, I have now … Continue reading
