My [replacement] CD32 arrived today. First thing was a quick test, then swapped the top half for the previous CD32 as the new one was scratched. So, I have an S-Video to SCART converter, I eventually got it to work … Continue reading
Finally got my new model kit today: The Blade Runner Spinner from Fujimi.
CD32 still not here…
So I now have Speedball 2 and Super Skidmarks ready and waiting on my [second] CD32. I broke my last one. Should be here tomorrow. Shambles.
I never played Batalyx (or even own a C64) back in the day. I was simply aware of Llamasoft games, and that there was something weird about them. Even in 1985 this was quite a Satanic looking cover to a … Continue reading
I downloaded the C64 version of Idris Alpha to my GP32 ages ago, and although it looks pretty good, I never figured out how to play it. Recently on Amazon, I found a PC version (not actually developed by Jeff … Continue reading
Part of my weekend comics haul was the Bone Full Color One Volume Edition for the 20th Anniversary. A huge 1,376 page slipcased collection of Jeff Smith’s Bone. I have already read quite a bit of Bone in either the … Continue reading
Got my Amiga CD32 yesterday. A while ago I bought Sensible Soccer for the console with the intention on getting the machine sooner rather than later. I recently checked how long ago that was and I was surprised that it … Continue reading
I decided to try some heavy weathering on the Nerf this time as I didn’t do any on the last one I painted. I’m not entirely convinced it’s turned out that great, but I guess it’s no too bad.
First job was to fill in the bits I missed. Then add a connector block for the wires I had to cut. The strange thing is that I seemed to have lost a screw from inside, so found another elsewhere. … Continue reading
Typical. I finished what I thought was the painting, and even added a little “heat staining” to the chrome sections, only to find I had miscalculated the marking. Muppet. Now I’ll need to mask that orange bit off and paint … Continue reading
Once the base coats dried, I then chromed up the barrel etc. and used steel coloured paint on the gun body. Once that dried, it was a gloss coat of Alclad Klear Kote.
It’s been a while since I’ve played it, so decided to stick Strider 2 into my cab. This is on Sony ZN-2 hardware (basically a Playstation with more RAM) and has a stereo connector. Funny thing is that since it’s … Continue reading

It’s been a while coming, but my next project is now under way. With this Nerf, I’m going to try some weathering on it when it’s done.
Pointless I know, but if I were supplying my consoles and games to Replay, these are my choices.: Mega Drive: Musha Aleste Mega Drive: Gunstar Heroes Mega-CD: Sonic CD Game Cube: F-Zero GX Jaguar: Defender 2000 MVS: Metal Slug 3 … Continue reading
Anyone of a certain age like me will either remember Crash, ZZAP!64, or if you were a bit odd, Amtix. One of the most enduring of these memories will be of the Oliver Frey artwork that featured. Damn lovely. I … Continue reading
Jeff minter was there, and even though my son had to bully me into it, I got him to sign my copy of Tempest 3000. The following day I managed to ask a burning question: which did he think was … Continue reading
Replay 2011 at Blackpool for the second year (and my first year there). I’ve not been to anything like this since I used to go to comic conventions (Glasgow for many years and London once). I travelled down with my … Continue reading
All I won was free spam for life…
Got back from Blackpool a few hours ago and got some pictures off the camera:
