I think I’ve had my fill of Totoro now. The law of diminishing returns and all that.
Finally got my Captain America The Winter Soldier Blue-Ray and it was as entertaining as I now take for granted. The whole thing about the three Hellicarriers being linked was a bit of a MacGuffin as were a number of … Continue reading
Picked up the first issue of Grendel vs The Shadow today. It’s a “Prestige Format” comic. Sort of. I do miss my Prestige Format miniseries. I only hope my hopes are not too high, and I can fully enjoy the … Continue reading
Splendid print created for The Lakes International Comics Art Festival. From A Movie Scene Edit: I have mine pre-ordered. Now I just need to get to Kendal…
I thought I would try drawing a zombie using a photo from the Walking Dead for reference. I shouldn’t have bothered.
From a screen capture, here’s a rendition of the Cat-Bus-Cat thing.
Back when Dave McKean drew his covers, rather than scrap-booking them like a housewife high on glue… Seeing as they’ve made a telly series out of it, and that I’ve not read it for many, many years; I’m going to … Continue reading
Mild mannered newspaper reporter Ford Kent. Super killing deathmachine robot thing man. Don’t look now dude, but your bonnet crack is showing.
Even Time are reporting on it. While not strictly the return to monthly comics for Mr Moore, as some would report. It is six issues published monthly (and maybe it will?) from him. I suppose it is a bit unexpected, … Continue reading
You might think me tired of ruining perfectly good drawings by Moebius, but I’m not. There’s still another I would like to do. Mr Pink
Kevin Maguire does the Doctor. All of them. Except maybe Peter Crapaldi at the front there. I do like his rendition of Worzel Gummidge though. Perfect for “Carry On Doctor”. Ooh Matron!
Grandeur and Monstrosity is a good solid “Tom Strong” grade story. It all seems quite plausible, even though Glycon sounds like something that would affect diabetics. Hypoglyconic
I shouldn’t mock Violator. I actually really liked it. Still do.
As everything above a 5 will likely remain unused, I have adjusted the scale accordingly. I have also hilariously added comic grading notation. MT V For Vendetta/Watchmen/Halo Jones/The Killing Joke/Swamp Thing NM+ League of Extraordinary Gentlemen NM Miracleman VF+ … Continue reading
I have devised a grading system for reading Alan Moore comics: 10. V For Vendetta 9. Watchmen 8. Halo Jones 7. The Killing Joke 6. Swamp Thing 5. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 4. Miracleman 3. Tom Strong 2. Skizz 1. … Continue reading
New 10 page Alan Moore story. It can’t be as bad as Voodoo… I might even read the other stories in the comic.
…To not Joe.
