Anatomy of a Mouse (Droid)
The first thing I did was write the script, which had lain dormant since last year. After that, I thought I should make it look like I knew what I was doing by laying out some thumbnails.
Next up, I did some more detailed layouts for each page to get an approximate idea of where the [many] dialogue boxes would go.
Slightly more formal layout and with the dialogue Blu-Tacked on.
Then pencilled and inked (before buffing in Photoshop).
The scale I drew this in was just over A4 (the largest area I can scan on my A4 scanner). A3 would be nice, just not practical, so have to soldier on.
It almost looks like I knew what I was doing, but I shudder at the thought of how many man-hours went into this. Worth it?
Credit where credit is due:
Title font used was Boba Fonts – Star Jedi Logo Doubleline
Comic font used was Blambot – Back Issues
Colouring done in Adobe Photoshop
Lettering done in Adobe Illustrator (first time used, so still learning)
